Treasure Hunter is a voice controlled digging and haggling game. Grab your wooden spade, head out to a dig site and SHOUT to dig your hole: the louder you shout, the faster you dig. Hard rock needs an extra loud shout or a pickaxe. At the bottom waits a treasure chest. It could be empty, it could be full of soggy socks and rusty spoons, or it could hold a Golden Crown, a Dragon Egg or the Pharaoh's Mask. Every find shows roughly what it is worth, and you decide out loud: take it or throw it. Then visit Goldtooth Gus at his Trading Post and sell your treasures by naming your own price. Gus haggles back: ask too much and he gets annoyed, ask something silly and he calls you greedy and pays you even less, ask too little and he grabs the bargain with a sneaky grin. Spend your gold and silver on better shovels, pickaxes, metal detectors, magnifiers and fancy clothes that charm Gus into paying more, unlock new dig sites and build the biggest fortune. Great speaking, number and money practice for kids and families.
Shout to dig, then talk to haggle:
Go hunting
Say Go Hunting or press the big gold button to head out to a dig site.
Shout!
Shout to dig. Louder digs faster. Rock layers need a really loud shout unless you have a pickaxe.
Take or Throw
Each treasure shows what it is roughly worth. Say Take to keep it in your bag, or Throw to toss it away.
Shop
Say Shop to visit Goldtooth Gus, then say Buy or Sell.
Name your price
When selling, say a price like five gold or fifty silver. Say Deal to accept his offer, No Deal to refuse, or ask What is your offer.
Tips
--> 100 silver make 1 gold. --> Asking a little above the real value is fine, Gus will make a counter offer. Ask a silly price and he gets greedy back and pays less forever. --> Watch Gus's patience dots. When they run out he will not buy that item until your next hunt. --> A magnifier makes your price guesses much more accurate. --> A metal detector finds better treasure and unlocks new dig sites. --> Fancy hats and outfits charm Gus into paying more. --> You can haggle when buying too: offer a lower price and see what happens!
Shout to dig up treasure, then haggle with Goldtooth Gus for the best price!
