Join Four is a classic four in a row game you play entirely with your voice: just say a column number from 1 to 7 to drop your disc. Say one player to battle the computer on easy, medium, or hard, or say two players for a local head to head match. Every move is spoken out loud, which makes it great speaking practice and a fun way to train your voice while you plan your strategy. Line up four discs in a row, column, or diagonal before your opponent does, and say reset any time to start the grid fresh.

Say a column number from 1 to 7 to drop your disc:

7!

Say seven to drop your disc into the seventh column on the far right. The disc falls to the lowest empty slot in that column.

3!

Say three to drop your disc into the third column from the left. Numbers one to seven cover the whole board.

One player

Say one player to face the computer, or say two players to pass and play with a friend. You then choose easy, medium, or hard by voice.

Reset

Say reset during a match to clear the grid and start the round over. It is handy when you want a rematch on the same difficulty.

Tips

Claim the center column early, because it opens the most horizontal, vertical, and diagonal winning lines. Watch for your opponent building three in a row and say your blocking column number right away. Set up double threats so your opponent can only block one of your two winning lines. Say the number clearly and on its own, since short words like one and two are heard best when spoken crisply. Think a move ahead before you speak, because once a disc drops there is no taking it back.

Say your column, think two moves ahead, and connect four before your rival does!
