Mouse Trap is a voice guessing game of nerves: call out cheese numbers from 1 to 100 and avoid the hidden trap. A mouse trap lurks under one of 100 cheeses. Face Squeakers the mouse in one player mode, or say Two Players to challenge a friend, taking turns shouting numbers. Each safe pick wipes out a slice of the cheese board and squeezes the range tighter, until someone finally picks the trap and gets SQUASHED. It is simple to learn, tense to play, and a fun way to practice saying numbers out loud.
Choose your cheese by shouting numbers:
67!
Say any number from 1 to 100 to pick that cheese. If the trap is not under it, a whole chunk of cheeses vanishes and the safe range shrinks.
20!
Numbers work on their own, so a clear twenty is all it takes to choose cheese 20. Then hold your breath while the board reacts.
One player!
At the start, say One (or One Player) to take on Squeakers, or say Two (or Two Players) to pass and play against a friend.
Tips
Say One Player or Two Players at the start to pick your opponent. Say Skip during the intro if you want to jump straight into the action. Pick numbers near the middle of the remaining range to clear more cheeses and push the risk onto your opponent. Watch how tight the range gets; the fewer cheeses left, the more dangerous your next pick is. Speak numbers plainly, like forty two, and wait for the board to react before your next guess.
