Blob Battle is a voice controlled strategy game that reinvents Tic Tac Toe: speak your moves to stack blobs and steal squares. Each turn you say a blob size, from tiny all the way to massive, then call out a square from one to nine to place it on the grid. Every player gets just five blobs, and bigger blobs can squash smaller ones, so no square is safe until the very end. Line up three in a row to win, either solo against an easy, medium or hard computer or head to head with a friend. It is great speaking practice too, since clear spoken commands are the key to victory.
Use your voice to choose a blob and place it on the grid:
One!
After picking a blob size, say a number from one to nine to choose your square. The squares count from the top left corner across to the bottom right.
Massive!
Say tiny, small, medium, large or massive to choose which blob to place. You only get one blob of each size, and a bigger blob can be dropped right on top of a smaller one.
Tips
Wait for the game to ask for a size or a square before you speak, it listens for one clear word at a time. Save your massive blob for the center square, it touches more winning lines than any other spot. Tiny and small blobs make great bait, place them where your opponent will waste a big blob squashing them. Numbers can be misheard, so say each one crisply; if nothing happens, simply repeat the number. Start in one player mode on easy to learn the flow, then say hard when you want the computer to fight back properly.
