Penguin Curling is a voice controlled sports game where you call the aim, power and sweep to slide penguins across the ice. Say Solo to face the computer or Head to Head to battle a friend. Each throw starts with a direction, Left, Center or Right, then a launch power of Low, Medium or High. As your penguin glides, shout Gentle, Medium or Hard to set the sweeping and fine tune how far it slides. Land closest to the center of the target to score, just like real curling. Clear, well timed words win games here, which makes it sneaky good speaking practice.
Use your voice to aim, launch and sweep every throw:
(Left, Right, Centre)
Say Left, Right or Center to aim your penguin at the start of each throw. Center points you straight at the middle of the target.
Low, Medium, High
Say Low, Medium or High to choose the launch power. High rockets your penguin down the ice while Low keeps the slide short.
Gentle, Medium, Hard
While your penguin is sliding, say Gentle, Medium or Hard to choose the sweeping. Hard pushes it further and Gentle lets it pull up early.
Solo / Head to Head
At the start, say Solo to play against the computer or Head to Head to take turns throwing against a friend.
Tips
The center of the target scores the most, so aim Center and adjust your power before getting fancy. You pick one sweeping strength per throw, so judge the glide quickly and commit. If your penguin keeps overshooting, answer the sweep prompt with Gentle to put on the brakes. Say each option as a single clear word right after the prompt asks for it. In Head to Head mode, watch your rival's throws to learn how much power the ice really needs.
