About Hoop Shot
Hoop Shot is a free basketball shooting game that is all about timing. The hoop slides from side to side, and your ball flies straight up when you tap, click or press the Up arrow or Enter. Time it so they meet: a swish scores 2 points and a basket off the rim scores 1. A golden ball earns 5 points and a coin. Sink 3 baskets in a row and you are on fire, scoring double until you miss. Every miss burns one of your 3 hearts, and the hoop speeds up after each basket, later turning around without warning. Inspired by arcade basketball machines, it asks for nothing but your browser: no download, no microphone. Can you shoot into the world top 10?
How To Play Hoop Shot
Tap To Shoot
Tap, click or press the Up arrow or Enter to send the ball straight up.
Time The Hoop
The ball takes just over half a second to rise, so shoot before the hoop is overhead.
Swish And Catch Fire
A swish scores 2, a golden ball 5, and after 3 baskets in a row every basket scores double.
Don't Miss
Each miss costs one of your 3 hearts, and the game ends when all 3 are gone.
Hoop Shot Tips
The ball needs just over half a second to reach the rim, so shoot while the hoop is still a little way off. Your ball starts at a new spot along the floor each time, so check where it sits before you judge the timing. Once you are on fire, a swish is worth 4 points and a golden ball 10, so a long streak is the fastest way up the board. After 7 baskets the hoop can turn around at random, so keep watching it instead of shooting to a rhythm. Golden balls appear from your fourth ball on and are worth 5 points and a coin, so take extra care with them.
Sink three in a row to catch fire and score double.
