About Moon Lander
Moon Lander is a free rocket landing game for your browser. Much like the arcade classic Lunar Lander, you guide a small ship onto a landing pad. Press and hold to fire the engine and slow your fall, and hold to one side of the ship to steer. Space and the Up arrow work too. Each landing scores 5 points, with up to 15 more for a soft touchdown, leftover fuel and a gold pad, which also gives a coin. Come down too fast or miss the pad and you lose one of your 3 lives. Each new landing brings a smaller pad and less fuel, and meteors arrive from level 3. No download, no microphone. Can you land in the world top 10?
How To Play Moon Lander
Hold To Thrust
Press and hold, or hold Space or the Up arrow, to fire the engine and slow your fall.
Steer To The Pad
While the engine fires, the ship slides to the side where you are holding.
Land Softly
Landings score 5, plus bonus points for a soft touchdown, leftover fuel and gold pads.
Don't Crash
Landing too fast, missing the pad or hitting a meteor costs one of your 3 lives.
Moon Lander Tips
Leftover fuel is worth up to 5 points, so do not hover: let the ship drop, then brake in one steady burn before touchdown. Touch down as gently as you can: a soft landing adds 5 points, while coming in too fast is a crash. The ship only slides sideways while the engine fires, so line up with the pad early, high above the ground. Fly through the stars on the way down for 2 points each. From level 3, meteors fly in from the sides and one hit costs a life, so watch both edges of the sky.
Land softly on a gold pad for up to 20 points.
