Rock Paper Scissors Minus One is a voice controlled strategy game where you speak your moves in a sneaky two hand duel. Call out two of the three classics, like Rock and Paper, and your rival secretly raises two hands as well. Then comes the twist: before the timer runs out, say the name of the hand you want to remove, and your opponent drops one too. The two remaining hands clash in a final showdown where Rock beats Scissors, Paper beats Rock and Scissors beats Paper. It is quick mind game fun and neat speaking practice, since every choice is spoken out loud.
Say Rock, Paper or Scissors to raise your hands, then say the one you want to drop:
Rock
Say Rock to raise a rock hand as one of your two picks. Rock crushes Scissors in the final face off.
Paper
Say Paper to raise a paper hand as one of your two picks. Paper wraps Rock in the final face off.
Scissors
Say Scissors to raise a scissors hand as one of your two picks. Scissors cut Paper in the final face off.
Tips
You choose two of the three moves, so think about which pair covers your rival's favorites. In the minus phase, say the move you want to remove, not the one you want to keep. Do not stall in the minus phase, a countdown timer forces the decision. Try to guess which hand your opponent will drop and keep the move that beats it. Speak one word at a time and wait for each hand to appear before saying the next.
