Rat Race is a voice powered dash around a cage full of cheese. The rat never stops spinning, and your voice is its legs: every shout sends it dashing straight ahead in whatever direction its nose is pointing, then it goes back to spinning. Shout at the right moment to dash into the cheese. But the cat is watching, and its paws reach into the cage and slam down wherever their shadow falls. Get out from under the shadow before the paw lands. The rat spins faster with every cheese, the paws come quicker and in bigger numbers, and one squash ends the run.
Your voice is the rat:
Shout!
The rat never stops spinning. Shout when its nose points the right way and it dashes straight ahead.
Go quiet
Go quiet after every shout. Each new shout is a new dash.
Play again
When a paw gets you, say Play Again to go again, or Switch Game to leave.
Tips
Follow the dotted line in front of the rat. It shows exactly where the next dash will take it. Shout a moment early. The rat keeps turning while your shout reaches it. A paw lands where its shadow is. Dash out of the shadow, and never dash along the arm. Grabbing a cheese makes the rat spin faster, so the later cheeses need quicker timing. Short, sharp shouts work best. Go quiet right after so the next shout counts. If the rat dashes without you shouting, press minus on the MIC slider. If nothing happens when you shout, push it up.
